Head of the IT Systems Department (m/f/d) Creating knowledge. Living encounters. Shaping the future. Job advertisement At the European University Viadrina Foundation Frankfurt (Oder), the Information, Communication and Multimedia Center (IKMZ) is seeking to fill a position at the earliest possible date as a Head of the IT Systems Department Identification number 6150-23-02 (up to pay group 12 TV-L, Working hours 40 hours/week, part-time possible) to be filled. The position is permanent. As the university’s central IT service provider, our services range from operating the university network to supporting, administering and further developing central teaching and administration applications. The Systems department operates the server and virtualization infrastructures as well as basic services such as email, cloud storage and authentication services. We are looking for an IT manager with a passion for technology and service. As head of department, you will use your expertise in system integration and interest in the latest technologies as well as your project management skills and enjoy working with people. Your tasks include: Technical management of the Systems department, including budget responsibility and administration of the technical equipment managed by the department Consolidation of the service portfolio and further development of organizational structures Team building Planning and management of projects Administration of central services Participation in support Your profile includes: A university degree in computer science or a related subject or completed vocational training in the IT sector and at least five years of professional experience building on this Proven knowledge of IT management or initial management experience relevant professional experience in the field of system integration (operation of central infrastructures, end device management, provision of central services) for the field of activity Very good knowledge of German (at least B2 CEFR, in-house language training is possible), good knowledge (at least B1) of English is desirable We offer you: a salary in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L) including a collectively agreed annual special payment Fringe benefits (e.g. pension scheme via the VBL, capital-forming benefits, job ticket) Collectively agreed vacation plus two days off on 24/31 December Work at a lively university with an international profile in the heart of Europe Flexible working with home office and mobile working family-friendly working conditions with advice and support for childcare and caring for relatives | family office Diversity-sensitive occupational health management to maintain the health and motivation of our employees A wide range of training and development opportunities The European University Viadrina Foundation aims to increase the proportion of women in underrepresented areas and strongly encourages qualified female applicants to apply.
