IT systems technician / IT specialist (m/f/d) for the area of responsibility “IT services for schools” full-time (39 hours/week) wanted. The vacant position is also suitable for part-time employees. The job The employees in the “IT Services for Schools” department implement holistic IT concepts for schools in the Lower Rhine and Rhineland regions, from elementary school to vocational colleges. For example, they connect schools to the internet, provide new media (e.g. smartboards, tablets, PCs) and take on all the necessary IT tasks on site as administrators. You will work as an administrator on site in schools in the area covered by our association. The individual area of deployment is determined in consultation with the responsible supervisor. Your area of responsibility: Collaboration on standardizations and concepts of the IT environment (“Schools Online”) and their sustainable implementation Planning, installation, configuration and operation of IT environments in schools Implementation and administration of modern Microsoft operating systems including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, virus protection, security updates as well as service pack and patch installations Administration of user accounts, group and access rights and group policies Script-based (PowerShell) automation of system-related processes (e.g. printer control, logon process, etc.) Automated Microsoft Windows desktop installations System management, in particular automated software distribution via package installations Software packaging for automated distribution with appropriate tools, e.g. AutoIT, PowerShell, MSI Further development of software distribution mechanisms and virtualized server/client environments User/customer support at 2nd level via ticket system, by telephone and on site Your profile Completed training as an IT specialist or comparable knowledge and experience in consulting and support for modern applications and IT infrastructures Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (server and clients) Professional experience in the administration and operation of servers, networks and systems under Microsoft Windows Professional certifications e.g. MCSA, MCSE are desirable Experience with mobile device management solutions as well as Apple products and Apple operating systems is desirable Knowledge in the administration of Linux servers Knowledge of project management (self-organized work) We require good written and spoken German language skills (at least certificate level C1) Since most of the work is carried out on site in schools, a class B driving license and the willingness to use a private car for business trips (against compensation for travel expenses in accordance with the NRW State Travel Expenses Act) is required.
